Amanda King.Dotty lives with her daughter and
grandsons at 4247 Maplewood Drive in Arlington. She is a widow with nothing but good memories of her husband who she misses. Having said that, she's not adverse to going out and enjoying herself in male company when the opportunity arise.Like Amanda, Dotty can talk the hind legs off a donkey when she sets her mind to it and has plenty of words of wisdom to bestow on Amanda whenever she needs them.
She suspects that there is more to Amanda's job than she lets on and is constantly after details on IFF and her boss there. Initially, she thought that Amanda was having a clandestine love affair with a local man due to her secrecy and poor excuses, but then she became convinced that Amanda liked someone she worked with…how right she was!
Dotty finally met Amanda's boss,
Lee Stetson, when he turned up at the house to be 'near' Amanda after she was abucted by Addi Birol. I don't think Dotty took very long to realise just who her daughter was interested in when she saw him, especially when she herself couldn't do anything but stare at him open-mouthed!She has most recently started to date her flying instructor, Captain Curt on and off and has even had a fling with a man who claimed to be a spy…like mother, like daughter.
