VAUXHALL HP FIRENZA
This is one of the original twenty pre-production Thruxton race
cars used as a promotional tool by Vauxhall in 1974. The race featured all the top drivers of the time, including the
legendary Gerry Marshall. It ran under the ‘Hamilton Motors’ banner
and was numbered ‘20’.
Since then, the car has been modified to compete in saloon car
racing and has also travelled the quarter mile at Santa Pod.
We now use her for classic car runs and shows, including the
London to Brighton run where I think we felt every single bump and pebble on
the road!

she now has decals showing her original Thruxton race number |
She’s extremely loud, amazingly quick, loads of fun and corners on
rails – it’s just a shame that people don’t really give the HP Firenza the recognition
it deserves.
