Joey Tribbiani is a struggling actor and not the sharpest chisel in the toolbox, poor lad! He comes from a large family and has seven sisters. He's extremely good looking and knows it. A total 'babe magnet', he's been with more women than eaten hot dinners - which is a lot considering his voracious appetite!

His best friend is Chandler, with whom he shared an apartment across the hall from Monica and Rachel. He is happy to try and share his womanising techniques with both Ross and Chandler, although it is sadly lost on them.

He had his big break on a daytime soap called 'Days Of Our Lives', playing the character, Dr. Drake Ramoray. His time on the show was short lived however, when, after giving an interview to a soap magazine saying that he made up most of his lines, the writers got annoyed and killed him off.

He has had various bit parts in the odd shows and then came a play where he met an actress called, Kate and fell in love - quite possibly for the first time in his life. She wasn't receptive at first but he eventually won her over, only to have her leave him when she got a good acting job in another city.

Over the years, his attitude towards women has improved slightly and there's even been the odd occasion where it looks like he might be looking for something more than a brief fling with a girl, but he usually reverts back to type. Apart from Kate, the only other woman that appears to have hurt him at all is Ursula, Phoebe's twin sister.

Most recently, he starred in his own show with a robot as a co-star called, 'Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E'. This was cancelled and he then reprised his role of Dr. Drake Ramoray - apparently he's not dead but just been in a coma for a few years and then a brain transplant brought him around. Unfortunately, the brain is from a female and he's now having to act like her character!

Strip joints, Baywatch lover and stupid, best describe Joey but he's very, very likeable with it. Chandler gets a lot of mileage out of jokes at Joey's expense and the girls all cringe at his antics with the opposite sex. That said, he's also very caring, very loyal and very emotional - men do cry.

Although he loves all his friends, he has a definite soft spot for Phoebe - could it develop into something more? We'll have to wait and see…especially since he's started to develop deep feelings for a certain pregnant friend of his.
