THE TREEHOUSE AWARDS

CATEGORIES

BEST SHORT STORY: 1 part stories, no chapters

BEST LONG STORY: Stories with 2-10 chapters. In order to maintain the integrity of the category for the year-end awards, stories in this category must be complete (this will prevent stories with more than 10 chapters from being included during the year-end awards).

BEST SAGA: Stories with 11+ chapters. This does not mean series. If there are sequels to a story, they must be nominated separately.

BEST WIP: Stories that are currently incomplete, a work in progress. Must have a minimum of 3 chapters to be considered.

BEST ANGST: Sad, dramatic, or unhappy stories.

BEST COMEDY/FLUFF: Stories that are light in tone and/or humorous.

BEST ROMANCE: Stories that focus on Roxton/Marguerite or Veronica/Ned getting together in a romantic fashion.

BEST ROMANTIC VIDEO: Best interpretation of romantic clips of the show set to music.

BEST ANGST/SAD VIDEO: Best interpretation of sad/angsty clips of the show set to music.

BEST COMEDY VIDEO: Best interpretation of funny clips of the show set to music.

BEST ACTION VIDEO: Best interpretation of action/adventure clips of the show set to music.

BEST CHARACTER VIDEO: Best interpretation of a character of the show set to music.

BEST CHARACTERIZATION: Stories with excellent characterization of any or all of the adventurer’s.

BEST EPISODE STEALER: Stories based on an episode, either filling in a scene or rewriting it.

BEST FUTURE FIC: Stories that are primarily set after the end of season three - these do not have to follow the actual storyline.

BEST ORIGINAL CHARACTER: An original/new character created by the author and NOT one of the usual adventurer's - e.g. maybe an author has written an exceptionally good villain or created a new ally.

BEST AUTHOR: Best overall writing. This is limited to a single author; collaborative teams are not eligible for nomination.
