THE MAGIC BUS

Lee assigned
with taking a revolutionery new vehicle, in the guise
of a camper van, three thousand miles across
A mock up will
be sent by air to fool anyone wanting to get their hands on it and the real TWU
will be left at Amanda's overnight before Lee leaves the next day.
Unfortunately, the Vigilante is stolen from Amanda's house by a group of people
calling themselves the "Survivors". They say
they will return the van once two of their people (the Stewed Tomato Two) are
released from prison, otherwise they will blow something up.
Lee needs
Amanda to help identify the man who stole the van and, going undercover as
journalists, they get themselves invited to a Survivors weekend retreat. There
is a traitor in their midst, however, and they get captured.
The Agency are then informed that if the Stewed Tomato Two are not
released then Lee and Amanda will die. Billy talks to the Stewed Tomato Two and
they give him an idea of where the weekend retreat may be being held. He calls
the army out and try to find the van.
Meanwhile Lee
and Amanda manage to free themselves and take possession of the van. One of the
men swallows the key that will turn off the automatic firing system, so they
have to get away from the dam before the rockets go off. Lee gets shot in the
leg which means Amanda has to drive.
Eventually,
the army catch up with them and Lee just manages to
switch off the firing system before the rockets launch.
SCENES TO
WATCH OUT FOR:
Amanda
trying to carry out a conversation with Lee in the bushes while her mother is
asking her to water the garden.
In the lift,

Survivor weekend.
Lee gets shot
in the leg and Amanda won't leave him - great oneliners.
Tag scene,
where Lee has to admit to Francine that Amanda was driving the van. And the whole conversation about Amanda's work and Lee's legs.
ROMANCE:
No real
romantic moments although, the way they pin the ID passes on each other in the
lift while having yet another row is very sweet!
QUOTES:
Amanda (after dragging
Lee onto the bus when he's been shot in the leg): Leave me, he says.
Lee: They tell
us to say that. Thank God you never listen to me.
Francine: Hey,
everybody is talking about your great driving job with the bus. You know, those
jeeps really had a hard time keeping up.
Lee: Yeah,
well, I wasn't driving. It was Amanda here.
Francine: Oh.
However did you manage?
Amanda: Oh,
I've had plenty of practice. I once drove the boys into
Lee: I guess
I'll be seeing you, maybe. But, then again, maybe I won't. You know.
Amanda: Yeah.
Well, just in case you don't, do you think maybe you could say something nice
about my work? I mean, after all, I think I did
contribute something to it.
Lee: Hmm.
Okay, your work was . . . not bad.
Amanda: Not
bad?
Lee: Yeah. Not
bad.
Amanda: Not
bad.
Lee: Well, you
think my legs are just "okay," I think your work was just "not
bad."
Amanda: That
is so petty.
Lee: Care to
change your opinion?
