OPEL MANTA S - SERIES A

|
1971 Opel Manta S |
My 1971 Series
'A' Opel Manta is totally original apart from a Broadspeed spoiler and has
only completed around 28,000 miles from new. She is an early 16S model and the red interior is like new apart from a slight fading from the sun on the back parcel shelf. The carpet looks as though they only ever wore slippers! |
|
She is
surprisingly modern for the year of manufacture and has an automatic choke,
rear screen demister and the wipers automatically come on when you use the
screen wash! Until recently she has been my daily car but I now drive a Vectra GSI Estate so that she can have a rest. |
Winning first place in the Standard class in the OMOC at Billing |

Haynes to Beaulieu start |
I have used her
for numerous shows and runs including, the Haynes to Beaulieu, London to
Brighton, London to Southend and Thames to Avon. She's certainly been put through her paces and apart from points failure, she's been a very good runner - especially since we've now put in an electronic ignition! |
|
We've recently
had her converted to unleaded and modified with a Blydenstein big valve head!
Mr. Blydenstein
has now included a picture of my car in the details he sends out to
prospective customers! She's great fun to drive and I find she garners a lot of interest from young men! Oh to have had her when I was younger, LOL! |
