He has been married three times. His first wife was Carol Willick, his college sweetheart who left him when she fell in love with another woman whom she later married. Just as she left him she discovered she was pregnant and they have a son together called Ben.

His second wife was an English woman called Emily Waltham. They had a whirlwind romance that ended in marriage in London where Ross inadvertantly said Rachel's name during the vows. They divorced soon after when Emily said she couldn't ever trust him again.

While in Las Vegas, they both got blindingly drunk and ended up marrying in a chapel. The next morning, their friends had to remind them of what had happened because they couldn't remember. They agreed to get a divorce even though Ross didn't really want one because he didn't want three failed marriages and deep down he was still in love with her.

Despite being married so many times, Ross doesn't really have a lot of success with women. He's basically a geek who tries too hard to be cool and it doesn't always come off causing hilarious results - the leather pants incident being one example (see below).

About a month before his sister's wedding to Chandler, Ross had a one night stand with his ex-wife, Rachel. They agreed they wouldn't have anything more than that but Rachel has since stunned him with the news that she's pregnant with his child.

Ross was shocked but eventually said they should marry because, 'it's the right thing to do'. Rachel refused him but has agreed for him to be as much a apart of her pregnancy and raising the cild as he wants. He has settled for that and is currently dating a woman called, Mona, who he met at Monica's wedding.

Although quite pompous at times and having a compulsive need to be 'always right', he has a good heart and is an all round 'nice guy'.
