DAVE'S VAUXHALL VIVA E COUPE

|
When I look at the picture above, it's hard to think that this car was bought for £80! True, it was not in the best condition, nor did it have the best paint job - unless you call a dark bronze colour with a matt black bonnet and two stripes going over the roof and boot lid a good paint job, that is! Anyway, Dave is Mark's best mate and he was keen to get involved into the whole classic car lark after helping Mark work on the HB Viva. So, at Billing a few years ago, a fella was selling this Viva E Coupe. He'd sold it to a guy who had resprayed it, converted the front to twin headlights, let his kids bugger up the locks and then pretty much left it to rot. Enter Dave and Mark! "Fools!" I hear you cry! And to be honest, over the following year or so, I think Dave and Mark felt like saying exactly the same thing! For more info - go to the RESTORATION GALLERY and read what happened! |

Looking good |
Dave's 1976 Viva E Coupe is used as a daily runner to and from work and gets a lot of attention. The standard, single rectangle headlamps have been changed to the more appealing and aggressive looking Firenza twin headlights which really set the car off. |

Dave regularly takes his car to shows and on runs as we do. He has completed the London to Southend run twice and also the London to Brighton and most recently the Thames to Avon. A few months ago he had seatbelts fitted in the back so that he and his wife, Tracey, could bring their son, Aaron with them on the runs/shows. |
